Bay Ridge Dog Daycare?
Submitted by Haggis on Wed, 2010-02-24 13:35
Hello, I am considering moving to Bay Ridge and was wondering if anyone knew of a good dog day care that I can take my Cairn Terrier to while I'm at work.
Thanks
-Mac

Dog Run in Summer

doggie resources
This is a somewhat disorganized list of resources, articles and references which dog owners may find interesting.
The nearest 24-hour emergency veterinary clinic is Veterinary Emergency Referral Service in Cobble Hill. Their web site was acting up when I posted this so here's the Google reference , which includes a map, address and phone number.
You should keep ASPCA's Poison Control Hotline number handy too: (888) 426-4435. I called it when Jack ingested a Frontline capsule. It's $55 per call, billable to a credit card.
Animal Planet's Dog Park Etiquette Quiz . Not exactly grad school level but cute.
Whole Dog Journal's Dog Park Etiquette guide. Some nice ideas here.
An interesting site on dog body language . There are additional links on the topic too.
Hopefully you won't ever need to use it, but you should know how to break up a dog fight .
If you're tired of lugging 40-pound bags of dog food and kitty litter from the store, Dog Delight delivers .
You can download a dog license application online now.
And, yup, there's even a web site entirely about dog runs .
More to come.

Karen and I were in Nantucket this past week and finally found a dog run after several years of scouring the island for a fenced in area. And what a dog run it is... with an ocean view, grass, a five foot fence, water, even bleachers!
It's an old ball field on the tip of the island in an area called Tom Nevers. What a terrific place. Jack and Auggie ran non-stop for 15 minutes. Auggie didn't even miss his ball.
More photos here.
